twenty one again....
Hi Joe!,
Thanks for the well wishing... Sorry for the late reply, I was away to my roots (Huddersfield) for the birthday bash, had to put up with real ale and yorkshire pud but came home to Glenmorangie 10 year old...yum yum Both the SVX and the VFR are on the road this year, leathers are a bit tight, my chest size feels almost the same as my age will have to get rid of the winter fat! cheers, John |

It is so cool to be 21, again, isn't it?
Hey, I forgot to tell you I bought a VFR from a guy in London. It's red, an FV, one of the last of the real 750s. I had it out last week for a spin. Beautiful. Amazing how bikes can make you feel young again, if they don't kill you. I don't think I have a Glenmorangie in the cupboard, but I'll hoist a Lagavulin to your birthday!! Slainte, a chara, Joe

Sounds like a nice bike Joe, mine is a 'naked' VFR import. Originaly used in japan for learners to pass their test on for super bikes, it's an 86 VFR750K and only a 1000 were produced....and yes, it's well fettled ...but now I've got my full no claims I'm gona be looking for a new toy!.The model you have is as you rightly say 'the best of the VFR's'...but I just love the look of the V-TEC......once the wife's happy with the home improvements
John p.s did you see the RC45 on ebay last week....it hit £13,000 and still not reached the res Quote:

I had an 88 VFR a few years ago John. It had been well used and had high miles [all I could afford], but it still did everything to perfection. I was sorry to sell it. I have to say the one I have now is a long way in front of it in many ways. Plenty of people don't like the vfr vtec engine, but like you, I LOVE the look of them. I'll reserve judgment till I ride one, and see if it suits me. For now, I can't see changing this one for a few years AT LEAST, it only has 22K miles and is good in every way. I enjoyed that Lagavulin for your birthday Joe
