ECUtune stage 1 - easy to install?

I've been paying Tom all my money for a 5mt, brakes, etc.. but I want to do some work myself. When I get back I'm going to get this kit, just wondering if the average joe can install it.

yeah, the average joe can install it easily. the set-up for the unleaded 87 octane is going to be a tiny bit harder, but not too much. you should only have trouble if you're a big guy/gal. it's just a lil cramped getting the ECU out.

I was really considering throwing down the extra cash for the Stage 2v5 with the 300ZX MAF sensor.. installation should be about the same, right?

Tom just finished up my 5mt swap and said his 5mt pearlie is noticeably quicker with it. It costs $229 + shipping, sounds worth the price to me. The warehouse site claims a 10-15hp gain in the lower rpms.

It changes the fuel+ignition curves of the car. Just so you know, it'll run a little richer when you're idling and whatnot as a result. It makes a significant difference in the car, without a doubt. The 300zx MAF is simple to install so long as you don't mess up the wires. If you think you will, take it to any car audio store and they'll do it for you for probably (rip offs) $30-$60.
