Driver's door light stuck on

Just got the window lift mechanism fixed in my car a few days ago and tonight I noticed my driver's light is stuck on. I don't think it was like this until tonight so I'm not sure if it was damaged during the window fix. All other features including dimer/timer shut-off are working on the other lights. I checked a few past posts and saw an electrical diagram - but I'm not too good on reading those. Can anyone tell me the actual part that I should check? Is there a switch that tells it to cut off when the door is closed? Thanks for the help.

Paul

pull the bulb out is it just the drivers door? if so it may be a short to voltage. most likely in the door jamb wiring harness.

Ha! Yeah, I pulled the bulb for now. Yes, everything is working fine so it must be something in the door near the latch. Thanks

If that is the case then your interior light is going to stay on as well.

That's depressing…

Hmmm… That's depressing… Then I don't know why the light is staying on. I guess I'll just leave the bulb out and count myself fortunate that it was a "little gremlin" with my electrical system this time.
