Seat upholstry removal.
How difficult is it to do this? I am considering putting a heating element in them.

For me, it took awhile to at least remove the base of the seat with the back of the seat and I didn't quite get the hook looped correctly where the two meet, but you can't see it.... Not sure, it may be easy for you though....Just don't burn your arse

I wrote up a seat cover removal DIY. It is in the How-to Documents section under interior. You will need a good set of wire cutters (to remove the covers) and some zip-ties (to attach them back on). It is tedious but not rocket science. Good luck.
