Torque converter drain?
Boring, simple question: Anyone who has done some tranny work, do you know if there is a drain plug for the torque converter? (To get the ATF out on a flush/fill.)

torque converter
I have done trans work and there is no drain plug on the torque converter. I was told that the best way to flush it out if it is out of the car is to drain the old fluid, fill it with new trans fluid, "swish" it around (I used the long shaft that fits into the splines of the converter) and drain it again. (repeat if desired)
You won't be able to get all of the fluid out when you drain it, but you'll get most of it.

Does this mean that the oil inside the converter never comes out to be cooled while the car is running ?!! Just curious.

converter oil
The ATF gets pumped through the torque converter as long as the engine is running.
