I think it would be cool to see one with a 5eat sport shift out of the new legacy

Course Johnny's right, it would be blasphemous to do that with this particular car.....

Not sure what the final ratio difference is between the AT & MT, Chike, but I tach at 3500 rpm at an indicated 75mph. I am pretty sure Huck said the tranny was from an impreza so I doubt that it is running 4.44's. Most likely it is 4.11's. I do know that my theoretical top end is no more than 150mph at 7k redline and that is only if the speedo is accurate. I passed a couple of those "Your speed is ..." RADAR signs and my speedo consistently read high. I think my indicated 75mph is really only 69 or 70. That would limit my top end to only 140 if that is the case. Kind of sucky in that aspect but kind of cool for general driving around town. Wish I knew for sure exactly what gearing I do have though. I also wish I knew if there was some suspension work done to this car as well. It handles much differently than my old SVX, more than the weight difference from the tranny would result in if you ask me. It leans very little in the turns and handles like a go cart while my old one had lots of lean and didn't respond to quick steering input like this one does. Also rides a lot stiffer than the old one.

Johnny you might want to have the speedo recalibrated to make life easier on you. The city uses Davidheiser's in Telford for it's calibration. You could try them.
