Just remember to get a tranny cooler if you do indeed buy that SVX. Its one of the cheapest and best mods you can do and will make your SVX last a long time.
Thanks for the input, Soobie... Anyone else?

i question the trannie rebuild some 32,000 miles ago. i don't see how the trannie fluid should be "dirty" after that milage and need a flush. i have to wonder if you're not in for a rebuild for 2 grand. is there some kind of guarantee on the trannie?

All it takes for the tranny fluid to turn brown again is one day of spirited driving. They recommend you get the fluid changed once every 15k. Its been 32k now so maybe he didnt get a fluid change in that time.

Seems it's moot anyway. Owner won't sell it for less than the price we originally agreed upon and I can't afford to/won't tack $1400.00 onto the asking price.

don't dispair, there are svxs' out there that are in better shape. i understand you're a bit out of the way from most, but one will turn up. i drove 3 hours for the first one i "bought", found it to be not as advertised and passed on it, and am glad i did.

Aye, and if I had the luxury of waiting, that would be prime. Unfortunately, I don't have any car at the moment and am in desperate need. *sighs*

Buying: One thing in life to be simple for a change.
