Did the SVX lead to the body change in the Camero???

The timing on it seems suspect, 2 years after the SVX is unveiled the Camero gets a redesign that is similar to the SVX, am I just jumping to conclusions here or did the designers like the looks of our beloved Subies?

My favourite still remains the first, though:

People are Stupid. Given the proper motivation, people will believe anything because they either fear it is true, or because they want to believe it is true. People's heads are filled with knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is not true, but they think it is true. People can rarely tell the difference between the truth and a lie, yet they think they can, so they are fooled more easily. People want to believe, so they do.

Like other auto makers, GM has its cars on a re-design cycle (or at least, used to) I think the facelift year might have just been a coincidence. I highly doubt it was a direct influcence, considering the SVX was no million seller. Now if they gave it all wheel drive and a problematic tranny... I think everyone was going sleek at that point, especially as the previous Camaro body had been in use for almost 10 years. Just my $.02

You have to remember the early 90s had a sleek car boom.
Pretty much everyone went from super angular to mostly curvy.
Ofcourse there are exceptions.

Also IMO, the Camaro has no resemblance to the SVX.

Why is Camaro so hard to spell? And I would understand if it was just middle aged females misspelling it, but I see so many car people type 'camero'. I don't understand. Say the word out loud. CAM-AIR-O. It doesn't sound like CAM-ER-O.... well... maybe if you lived in North Dakota.
