wrx trans and rear diff?

if i get a wrx 5 speed, do i need to change the rear diff too?? or just the trans? im bad at searching, so i figured i'd just ask. what is involved with changing the trans? im pretty good with diffs though. thanks

If you get the wrx you dont need the diff due to them having the same final drive ratios. You will need your driveshaft lengthened 2in. exactly( always double check for reassurance) along with the clutch pedal assembly and a variety of other custom brackets and stuff that you will have to make...I would really suggest using the search function or atleast trying to learn b/c there is a wealth of knowlege that you need to know and thats the easiest way..

Did you get the driveshaft for your car lengthened exactly 2"? Just wondering because I need to do this, but I don't have time to get under the car to measure.

Yes i had it lengthened exactly 2 inches, I was able to find a driveshaft from a 94 which is the two piece driveshaft.
