Rear end problem when turning

OK, so whenever I turn a sharp corner and hit the gas, the rear end acts like its locking up or catching somehow. So I just spent my whole sunday putting in a different rear carrier and it still does the same thing. Just wondering if I should look into some new CV joints or U joints or something else. Any help will be appreciated.

P.S. Would anyone be interested in buying a rear carrier with 130k miles?

SOunds like your AWD is working too well. The transfer clutch might be given the RWD full lock-up. How is it if you just go slowly around a corner? The tranny line pressure will increase when youpunch the throttle and that will increase the RDW.

Yeah, when turning sharply, it doesn't do it if I just coast butthe more gas I give it, the worse it jerks around. The U joints and CV joints felt ok apon hand inspection.

Transmission problem

The transfer clutches are binding and then releasing causing the car to buck.

And though I've not done it, the generally accepted advice is to find (the 4oz size) limited slip differential addtive & add it to the transmission. You'll know you've found the right stuff if the smell is overpowering. GM dealers sell it, Kendall makes some, not sure who else.

Go to your local auto parts store and get a 4oz. can of limited slip differential additive, but add it to your tranny, not your differential.

Go out and slowly do some tght donuts with the car in each direction and your problem should disappear.

This has worked for many without fail.
