That's what I'll do then. Does anybody know where I can get a new 3.90 gear set that will fit in the SVX diff? Exactly which subarus came with the large rear diff housing and 3.90 gears? Thanks for all the help.

It'd be a new record for sure
I don't think there has been more than 2 in one location.

Any of the Loyals will work. Most of the 4WD ones came with 3.90's. The Turbos usually had 3.70's. Just look for a 4WD wagon or something should be alot in the junk yards.

Well, I pulled the cover off the impreza diff that I had, and it turned out that it did have 4.11's, so I was told wrong about having 3.90's. OOPS.

Which cars had large housings and 4.11's?

Thanks for all the info.

Most Legacys have the 4.11's...the Turbo Legacy had 3.90's and a few Outbacks came with 4.44's but probably 85% were 4.11's
