Smile Just feel like sharing (NW SVX Banquet)

Check out the results of our latest event: 2004 Northwest SVX Awards Banquet

I'm still pretty excited about how things are going with this rogue SVX group I've started. I really would encourage anyone out there in the different regions that has a little time and love of SVX meets to give something similar a try. By having an organized "club" type atmosphere, it really does add a bit of identity to the participants, and our place in the community. As you'll see if you visit the link I'm putting here, it allowed us to acquire some pretty valuable prizes for the banquet from the local Subaru dealer and a few shops - given to us for free.

Not only that, but to take the time and plan out the events and add the special touches really adds to the SVX meet experience. The two we have done so far have received a ton of praise and are definitely a step up from our old "let's meet at so-and-so parking lot on so-and-so date.

Also, it is a great tool for getting new "members" from the local area that will hopefully show up at events and add to the experience. In the past two months, I've averaged 4-5 new members a week that are NOT registered members on this site and have no interest in forums. Don't ask me how I get them, some search engine out there must like me or they see one of our flyers? Hey, I can't complain.

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to encourage others out there in SVX land. I'm nothing special, and I've had a lot of help, but if I can do it, anyone can!

Cool! Good to know it went to good use.

Believe me, it took a lot of restraint for me not to slip one of the FI service certificates and the oil change ones into Troy's personal stash the day Mike gave those to me.

Thanks, but it would have haunted me for at least 3 weeks. Besides, it just wouldn't have been very responsible of me and I learned all about responsible leadership from President RWJ.
