Electrical problem
Hey guys, hope someone out there can help me with this.
A couple of days ago, I was getting ready to leave work, when I noticed my AC hadn't kicked on. I looked down and my temperature control, buttons and clock were all black. No power, nothing. The only other thing that isn't working is the int. setting on the rear wiper. It works in the on position, but nothing else. I checked all of the fuses and they all look fine. Do you think the AC capacitor links all of that together, or does it sound like something behind the dash?

okay, go ahead...
...call me a dumb a**.
I finally broke down and checked all of the fuses. The cigarette lighter and mirror fuse was blown. Low and behold, that was enough to kill all of the controls. Hey, it was cheaper and quicker than disassembling my dash.

Looks like you may have the " shorting visor mirror light wire problem " as has been reported by others. Do a search as this could save you a repeat of the problem. If the fuse was actually blown this indicates a short circuit or overload has occured. However sometimes a fuse link can be faulty.
