smoke

after I drive my car smoke comes out the drivers side wheel well. Its bluish and smells really hot, its not from overheating brakes, it smells oilish. I also have a leaky seal and I had an estimate done that the guy said it would be 550 for both seals and a timing belt. Does anyone know if the smoke would be from that and if that is a good price?
thanks!!

smoking

Tell your car smoking is bad and it should quit today! Sounds like you have oil dripping onto your exhaust creating the hot oil smell and the smoke. You did check your axle though right? The boots are not cracked? If they are you'll have a lot of grease in there from that you'd be able to see.

If it is leaking oil 90% of the time it will make it onto the exhaust pipe somewhere along the line. A friend's impreza did the same thing and his cam seals were leaking, going down to the bottom of the t belt cover and then when he drove it would get pushed back right where the exhaust starts. It is easy to spot. You'll have a dark colored area on the exhaust.
