Hey, but the Cardinals won 100 GAMES....now, let's just see if they can do a better job "representing" the NL in the World Series

The playoffs this year are wide open. No clear favorite...should be very exciting.

Overall i must say i am very happy with the Phillies this season. After the Mets series I really thought they were done and dead. They proved us all otherwise. These past 4 years for the phillies have been the most productive years since their great teams of the 70's and 80's. And still no playoffs
 ...88 wins is a great season and this team finally showed they have heart. Rollins ended the season with a 36 game hit streat that will be carried into next season. Utley, Abreu, Burrell, and Howard are going to be a very special group. Most people don't realize that these 4 guys next year have a shot at having 30+ home runs and 100+ rbi's each next yr. Here are their final stats.... Chase Utley 2B- 28 HR's 105 Rbi's Bobby Abreu RF- 24 HR's 102 Rbi's Pat Burrell LF- 32 HR's 117 Rbi's Ryan Howard 1B- 22 HR's 63 Rbi's....in only half the season  Proud to say that all those guys are home grown talent too...except abreu..we traded for him in 96 i think? I seriously think Ryan Howard is going to hit 50 HR's...especially with our ballpark. Jeff Francour of the braves said " He's the only guy i've ever seen hit home runs in batting practice with the doughnut still on the bat."...now that is somethin!

I see Cardinals & White Sox or Cardinals & Yankees in the World Series. Either way I see the Cardinals taking the series. I would love to see the Astros and Yankees in the series. I think that it would go 7 games and be a toss-up. However, each game would be real, real interesting.
