Yeah, we need more info.

Was anything done recently?

Check for stored codes?

Was it running and died? Or did it run fine till you last turned it off?

Yes PLEASE provide full details. It is noted that you have few previous posts, but do not let that deter you from speaking out.

sorry for not posting more details earlier.... i was so pissed off and fed up was having a bad day....

anyways...
my car is a 94 svx
okay for a week or 2 now while driving my car would try to stall (stutter?) for a sec and then go back to normal.. didn't think much of it...checked everything everything was fine....

then one mornin i get to the car (under ground parking) tried to start it just crank crank for a few secs (longer then normal) then it would start and run perfectly...

after work went out to start and nothing....like i said i tested for fuel there was fuel.. pulled out a spark plug tested for spark and no spark..

today since i got my parts car infront of my office. i started swaping various sensors to see if that was the problem

swapped the (cam sensor?) on the drivers side of the engine and swapped the 2 sensors in the middle of the engine and still got nothing..

any other suggestions?? my friend was thinking perhaps cpu?
where would the comp be on these things?

please help LoL it's -5 degrees outside and i've been trying various things for hours..

thanx
[M]i[K]E[¥]

also there were no check engine light or anything

Try switching the ignition module. Its the box mounted in the engine compartment on the center of the firewall, with a larger plug coming out of either end of the module.

The ECU is mounted under the driver side dash. Try searching for previous posts concerning this. There are lots < LINK >

You could try checking the ignition wire for current. Maby you have a bad iignition switch?

Did you get a CEL? I just replaced my coolant temp sensor to stop a hard cold start problem, and that's just from ~30F! Worst case, it's a cheap, quick job.

Try disconnecting the battery and let it sit for a couple of hours before you go any further. If one of the sensors you swapped out was, in fact, bad then the ECU still has the "bad" code stored which will prevent it from letting the car start. The other possibility is that it's your water temp sensor that is bad, which is known to prevent the car from starting.

Try replacing the MAF. If it will crank, you get spark, etc, it might be that. Also, turn the ignition to "Run" but not start, and listen for the fuel pump.

replaced maf
gonna try to disconnect battery tdy

but it's so cold i could only spend short amounts of time working on the car lol

i got fuel that was one of the first things i checked. lots of fuel lol

for sure it's a spark problem i just can't find where and why.... -_-'

would coolant temp sensor kill the spark??

wait a min if i swapped the ecu then i don't really need to leave the battery disconnected because there should be no codes on there...
also no check engine no other sorts of warning lights...

it just cranks squirts fuel but no spark = (

okay, here's a few things:

1. Do you have an aftermarket alarm system that could be preventing spark?
2. Yes, I believe that a bad water temp sensor will prevent spark (PM SVXFiles or TOMSSVX to confirm) - my $ is still on this one
3. Yeah, I thought about your comment on swapping ECUs after I posted the "disconnect the battery" comment
4. While the dash might not be "talking" to you, have you plugged in the test probe and actually checked for codes? (sorry if you addressed this in an earlier post and I just didn't go back and read it)?
5. You might actually try pulling the O2 sensors to see if they aren't totally soaked with gas (PM SVXFiles about this little beauty). If they are, the ECU will not allow spark
6. I'd suggest getting it towed to somewhere warm before you do anymore work

thank you everyone for helping me out
fixed the problem this weekend. i figured i'd retrace my steps..
turns out that the crank position sensor is the victim here... i swapped it with the one from my parts car(which was running before i started stripping it)
so i kept assuming it will work. somehow i guess during the removal i must've ****ed it up LoL
