My car hasn't seen any road salt to date. It spent the first 4,300 miles of it's life in California, and in the week (and counting)n that I've driven it in Virginia there's been no road salt.

Btw, when you say hit it with some anti-corrosion spray, would WD-40 do the trick?

Yikes. That's GT-R type maintenance bills!

I dunno. See what they're using on the forums. You're in a good position right now to keep it working for a long time. When I got mine, the speculation was that very cold weather killed it. Now it seems to be corrosion. I always made sure to get it washed often in winter at a car wash with underspray. I should probably do something, but its probably too late now. Could die tomorrow, could go another 60000 miles.

Yeah, but Super Sport mode is totally worth it!

Re: Finally bought one of my dream cars...

Gotcha. Looks like CRC heavy duty is recommended, but WD-40 does work in a pinch.

I took a look at my AYC/ACD pump and it's super clean. I'll take the car through the car wash this weekend and really clean the underside of the car, and then hit the pump with it's first dose of anti-corrosion spray.

Re: Finally bought one of my dream cars...

Btw Alan, what kinda gas mileage do you typically average with your MR? I've been averaging 25mpg often on my drive to work, and typically by the time I fill-up, she's averaged 22.5-23mpg for the whole tank.

16-18mpg.

i get maybe 22mpg if i'm on the highway (hardly ever) - its mostly suburbs/city driving for me. Cobb stage1 93 octane tune. its pretty much the same as i got in my LGT, so no real shock.

you're gonna like it.

my Cobb stage 1 Evo feels way stronger than my Cobb stage 2 LGT did. perfect for the daily driver - plenty of power and reliability. easy to install, too.

i'll post some pics up later, but i just got a Bluetooth OBDII adapter for $9 in the mail yesterday. i'm using my old Droid Bionic smartphone to display boost, voltage, coolant temp, MPG instant and average (for now, many parameters can be displayed) using the Torque app. can't wait to try it out on the way to work later ......
