I think I might have heard of that. It was about cars, right? And, like, these guys who drive cars really fast and intense-like, and then they go UNDERCOVER and drive cars and there are there are these rapper dudes...

something like that.

I thought Napa was hinting at the quick & the dead... and I mean, isn't that an outlaw movie?

I think my ex cheated on me because I retain NADA when I watch movies.

I can't believe you don't know what movie that pic is from. Amazing.

Anyway, I can believe the charger made it through that imapct with little damage...remember the charger is all metal, and quite reinforced up front, and that semi front end is fiberglass, plastic, and a flat sheetmetal bumper about 2mm thick. There's not much at that spot on a semi that would cause damage...unless he hit the tire. Now as for how he got the car to fly like that (if it were a real life situation) is beyond me. I would think it would simply cause a spin.

I don't really watch movies *shrug*

Even if they ARE about cars.

I just have a REALLY hard time sitting idle in one location for that frickin' long staring at a box (or a screen). Unless I'm intoxicated, in which case I just fall asleep halfway through anyway

Subafreak already told you how the car went airborn. There's a ramp you can't see for the smoke (sometimes pipe, sometimes a "banked" wooden frame ramp, depending on the stunt). It's lowered on one side (just like the trick ramps for the cars at the County Fair) so the car will tumble after it "takes flight." There's usually an explosive charge, that serves two purposes: a) Propels a "plunger" on whichever side of the car needs to be "pushed up." and b) for dramatic effect. It also creates smoke (some smoke is sometimes added) to hide the ramp, cutting down on the number of re-takes. I'm sure they had a limited amount of cars to do the stunt (I haven't read the specs yet). I only know, cuz I've worked in video production for the past 15 or so years.

I know this. I was just playing the "could this be a real situation" game and trying to rationalize. I saw the behind the scenes and how they did it.
