SVX Rules

As an original owner of a 1992 svx, and a long term resident of Louisiana, I had forgotten it's competence in the snow and ice.
When I lived in Kentucky and while on all season tires, the car was quite good in all situations.
When I moved to Louisiana, I put on summer Max performance tires Prior to this event, freezing temps brought poor performance from the tires. However, with the current situation and the failure of my two wheel drive suburban to get out of my driveway, I needed to try something else. The sv could not be stopped. I drove it to work today and even with the summer tires, it soldiered on I am in=impressed with Subaru and the awd system.

Re: SVX Rules

When I had my Ebony '92 I drove it all winter. I could drive down my 100' driveway with the snow up to the bumper no problem at all. I literally never got stuck in that car.
It was fun to pseudo rally race down snowy back roads. I never quite got the drifting with AWD down pat though. It just had too much traction.

Interesting story, thanks for sharing! Good to hear some positive news coming from our beleaguered southern contingent.
