Talking Finally got NEW OEM FACTORY SUBARU SVX KEYLESS REMOTE

Hey guys,

I finally won a keyless entry remote for my car on Ebay. $65 for a brand new one. I've wanted one of these for a long time. Can't wait to get it! Anyways, I know I'm a dork for being so excited over a keyless entry remote.....But....WoooHoooooo

Wow, thats a lotttt of money. I woulda been willing to part with one of my remotes. I guess I'm very fortunate because the gentlemen I bought my car from gave me the two master keys and one valet key, as well as all 3 remotes in working condition.

To anyone reading this

and wanting one og these brand new SVX remotes, they can be had at the dealership for $50. Some places don't want to order them, but I bought one just a few months back.

If you can't get one and want one, I'd be happy to pick them up and ship them out to you for a small fee and the cost of shipping. The small fee is to cover my drive time as the dealer is about an hour from my house. I guess I could just pass their name on to you all and let you order them direct too. Let me know if you're interested and I'll talk to them on Monday.

Todd

Remote

I don't really see it as being that much seeing I wanted the old orange one and not the new blue one....I was told by
Subaru that they no longer offer this part. Also, I have seen other brand new ones on Ebay go for over $70...so all in all I'm happy!

To each his own wallet.

Could you have bought it cheaper, Megan? Maybe but who cares? As long as you're happy with your buy that's all that matters. Good for you! Enjoy your remote.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

I do too Kelli. Yes, maybe cheaper, but more hassle as well? You have got one now, and that is great. Besides, you also had the thrill of the hunt and winning the auction.

As you can see, there are lots of sources for parts, so you can post a question or do a search on the part that you want. You will find out where to get stuff and their price. Good luck and enjoy your car.

keyless ride - Don't Do It !!
Kim ordered me one from there for a valentines day gift (she is thoughtful) It came and it was not a factory remote at all - some cheap 2 button thing that belongs in the pocket of a neon driver. Do not believe the ad - it is not factory "we do not sell aftermarket copies" yeah, right, and Ron drinks wine from a bottle.

So did it not work?
The factory ones are fairly cheap also but do you still think it isn't worth it?
