Rear End Noise and possible electrical problem
HI, I just recently discovered a noise coming from my rear tires, its kind of a thumping noise. When i have the wheel turned far either way in forward or reverse all i have to do is let off the brake and my rear end starts thumping. It comes from one side or the other at seperate times, depending on which way the wheel is turned. Idk if something is wrong with my all wheel drive as my tires are spinning in the rear. it just seems like they are catching but i know this isnt a normal thumping noise.
Secondly, while i am driving down the road, the power to my speakers just stop. It seems when i hit the gas or when that thump in the rear happens thats when it happens the worst, the radio and cd dont power down, just the speakers stop working. And when i slam either door it works again for a minute Can anyone help with either of these, i just got my svx and really wanna enjoy it and not be mad at it |

Re: Rear End Noise and possible electrical problem
Wow the thumping from the rear, if it only happens while turning sounds like your rear differential is faulty. Have you checked the fluid? Its pretty easy. And as far as your speaker problem goes.... it happens more when you hit the gas?? Is your system all stock or do you have any aftermarket components? When your speakers cut out like that, one of the most common problems is a shorted speaker wire..... could be hitting ground or hitting the other wire..... that will short the power stage and kill the sound momentarily. Check the wiring at each speaker.... starting with the rear since they are the easiest. Make sure the leads are not touching metal and the wires arent shorting together.
