Tips on buying a Legacy (1994)
I'm thinking of getting this to use as a parts transporter. What do yinz think? I won't have a chance to see the car before bidding so i'm taking a risk. Opinions?

I would NEVER buy a car without looking at it. Pictures hide SOOO much. Avoid it man, look for one locally, it shouldn't be too hard to find a subie in your area.

I positivly wont buy a car locally. They're all way too rusty.

Like Rob said, have a look personally first if you can.
Is it me or does that steering wheel looks like its from a SVX? Can a legacy wheel fit on a SVX?

The disclaimer at the bottom is rather worrying too

Not bad, Mike. The only thing I don't like about the 90-94 Legacy is the cost of some of the electronics: cam sensor, crank sensor, alternator........all of those are MUCH cheaper for the 95-99 Legacys.

Hmm? I figured they just used the same ones, shouldn't the newer ones be more accurate? Why would they cost less? BC/BF's for life

They don't use the same ones. In 95 Subaru went with a different alternator, cam, and crank sensor in the Legacy. Because they are different (and because of several recalls for those parts) they are much cheaper. A 90-94 crank sensor will set you back about $200. The same sensor for 95-99 is about $20. Same for the cam sensor.
