Its a trial trying to keep my lovely moontan palour down here.....I look like a ghost due largely to my habit of avoiding sunlight...not due to vampiric traits but rather the sheer strength of the Southern sun on my Northern skin.

Its a pretty bad problem with immigrants from Ireland and UK re: skin cancer...and one that I am very keen to avoid!!!

Ron,
As a youth, Randy kept having nightmares about the movie "The Wizard of Oz". In his dreams, he was trapped forever outside the Emerald City because he couldn't follow the Yellow Brick Road. Later he was further traumatized by watching "Old Yeller" on a Sunday broadcast of Walt Disney's "Wonderful World of Color". As a young man, your reference to "Mellow Yellow" and probably hearing "Yellow Submarine" for the first time sent him reeling. Even high school social studies had a trap waiting, when the discussion turned to your "yellow journalism" or a "yellow dog contract". I honestly have the deepest sympathy for Randy. Imagine never being able to visit Yellowstone....or playing soccer for fear of getting a yellow card....or the panic generated by the discovery of a yellow jacket nest....or taking a cruise to the Orient just to discover he's passing through the Yellow Sea......

....its enough to give one jaundice! Don

But where does Randy go to find parts for his pearlie? Definately not the Yellow Pages. Which reminds me - remember the Yellow Peril?
Ron.

Dah Doo Ron Don.

FBI investigates strange outbreak!!!

Another media heavyweight comes under the spotlight, when Randy Johnson, writer of innumerable posts, has shown symptoms of a new affliction, thought to have been contracted through the mail. The writer has come down with spots.

Medical staff admit they are baffled, it is unknown to science, and a spokesperson said they would be calling it the Yellow Polka Fever.

Yes, he's beginning to look quite jaundiced by now, I suspect.

Yes Ron, I do. Only it's pronounced "purl" down here....as in "uins kar shore do look purty wit dat yaller purl paint job!"

Joe: What does a man see when he has Yellow Polka Fever?

Yellow Polka Dots of course.....

....and that previous mention of bananas was definitely appealing....

Don

Don,

You are being a mite insensitive. James will probably not relish being the butt of such ribaldry. He will have turned pale with embarrassment. Cass will have to jump-start him.

Cease and desist. {Sounds a bit like a bus stopping, doesn't it?}

You could hide your bush under a light, but as Kurt Kobain might say, it's better to burn out, than to fade away.

Smell of burning rubber. The stage has left. Noises. Off.

OK....I see the light; no more beating around the bush. After the week I've had, I do feel a bit burned out. Just spare me the Kurt comments.... Don
