Nice to see you "poking your head in" just to give me a slam.

I suppose the drive back with Thumper was just so traumatic that you're just now recovering.

BTW, where the heck IS Gavin?

Well, the lowest I've ever seen it read was -12, this morning. Damn it was cold out.

right now the "good" outdoor thermometer (fluke 52) says -11.2
but the SVX only says -2... The NWS agrees with the Fluke

FYI -40 C and -40 F are the same thing and I hope I NEVER see it.

Ok, so we've been having this weird fog lately......
Wish I had time tomorrow to drive up the Monument or the Mesa so I could take pics from above the clouds.
Visibility was less than 1/4 mile on the way home tonight. I kept expecting to run up on a huge pileup because people drive like idiots.

Temp

Hi there temp freaks, In 1990 I drove to Sacramento, California from Ypsilanti, Michigan Three days before Christmas. The first day we left home about six PM. and stopped the next evening about the same time in North Platte, NE. I think it's about 1000 miles. I drove the whole way. Somewhere after that in WY or NV we saw 30 below zero on the GL-10 dash. However it was really 50 below! I drove the whole way with the heater blower on the highest speed and the heat on full. My daughter wore her coat the whole trip (wimp). The water in the exhaust froze on the back of the car. I never thought I would be happy to see freezing (32f) What happened to global warming? Take care, BOBB

Hi Kenneth, Well it had to start sometime. Over New Years weekend,we had 55 degrees. Now were having highs in the teens. The weather guys are predicting 35 degrees for Sunday the 11th. Lets hear it for mother nature. Take care, BOBB

My Avenger was frozen and not starting.....finally managed to get it started, went to a friends house, let it sit for 5 hrs, was frozen again. This time I wasnt so lucky, so it spent the night at my friend's house. First time its ever done it to me, prolly wont be the last this year.

Maybe I should buy a Subaru...I'm thinking of a SVX for a winter car next year. Think I can find one for under $2k?

I've got to replace the driver's threshold on "Da Twin" where it froze to the door and fell off in the yard.

Yup, Im definitely thinkin the Avenger needs to be replaced by a Subie.....the beauty of AWD does not grace my Avenger, nor do the half worn Blizzaks do much good anymore.
