Dome light

Ok, this might sound like a weard question but did they ever make an SVX without dome lights? I look around the car for a switch but there is nothing. Also on the sun roof switch it is plane. Just the one switch. This is driving me nutz!

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Adam

Hmm, a valid question is a sea of contriversy.

The car should definitlly have a dome light and I belive the button to turn it on is with the moon roof controls but I don't have a roof so i'm not sure. Is it possible that the writing is worn off?

I'm not absolutely sure but I believe there are 4 buttons, from drivers side to pass. it reads spot, door, room, spot. Spot is the drive. & Pass map lights, door activates and de-activates the dome light when the door opens, room turns the dome on and off when the doors are closed.

No Dome

No, mine only has one button on it for the sun roof. Other then that it os just a big piece of plastic. Did the 92's have something different?
There is a light in the rear of the roof and the only way to get that to go on is to open the doors. Right now I use the mirror lights the see what I am doing.

Light

Hi Adam, My '92 Has the switches as laid out by Mike. I'll take a look at my owners manual and see if any other arrangement is shown. Is it possible you have a dealer installed sun roof or an after market sunroof? The dome light would be in the way so they just removed it. Take care, BOBB

If your sunroof is glass it was installed by a dealer and they just decided to take away your dome light along with the other buttons.

At least I will stop going mad looking for it.

Thanks,

A glass sunroof doesn't suck, it actually sounds pretty cool. Do you have some pics of that, I'm interested to see how it looks.

I was referring to the switch and the dealership who put it in. The sun roof itself is great! Having no dome light is what sucks. I can see what I can do about the pics.

Cheers,
Adam

LMAO, tap light!

I know our Wal-Mart has lights similar to dome lights, might wanna check there.

Isn't there a glass sunroof identical to ours from a Legacy of some year? Has anyone tried to put on on an SVX. I like my sunroof, but I'd love being able to see the stars.

Thanks

I'll have to chack Wal Mart. Never thought of that. Thanks.
Haing a glass roof is awesome. I like the one that came with the car. For winter months it has a plastic insert that ataches to the glass and even moves with it whan I open it.
Good luck,
Adam
