Front wiper on works on intermittent
My front wipers only work on intermittent. Normal and Full don't work at all. The summer/winter switch works and the pull-to-wipe works. The vehicle-speed-sensitive works and the volume control works. Everything works except Normal and Full speed. Obviously, living in the UK, I need to use the wipers a lot - so it needs to be fixed.
I had a look at the wiring diagram and decided it was probably the wiper control module. So I swapped that from one of the other cars. But it made no difference. My next thought is it must be the switch or the motor. I'll probably check the switch first because I can't even figure out to how to get at the motor. Service manual doesn't help much. Anybody else had this problem or a similar one and know how to fix it?

Re: Front wiper on works on intermittent
Try a new stalk? I know that some of that control stuff is directly from the stalk itself.

Re: Front wiper on works on intermittent
There's also a "front wiper control module" under the dash, up above the main relay and fuel pump relay.
If you get a new stalk switch, the wiring harnesses attach down under the dash. I'd plug it in to test if that's the problem before going through the hassle of pulling the steering wheel to swap switch assemblies. edit; just saw who posted... the location of the wiper module I gave is on LHD cars. Not sure if everything swap side?? I would guess so??
