Unhappy OT..another fire...

About 10 days ago I posted about the fire near Bailey Co.....well, there is another one. Started this afternoon about 1400hrs (2pm), 250 acres so far. When I returned home about 1830, there was 2 messages on my machine(reverse 911) from Clear Creek County sheriff dept warning everyone to prepare for evacuation. The local tv says 2400 have been evacuated so far. Everyone in the water district I operate has already been evacuated. As the crow flies, this is about 2 miles from my house.
A slurry bomber just flew over....helicopters everywhere....
I'll keep you guys posted....

(sorry for the 24hr time...just habit..)

Beav: This is near where you used to live.... All of Brook Forest has been evacuated...

Significant Technical Input
I certainly hope everything goes well. It would be a shame for anything to happen to that area, so many people, so much beauty. Everyone there will definitely be in my thoughts, keep us informed.

update....

As of this morning, the fire has grown to 400 acres....no homes have been burned as of yet. Nine subdivisions have been evacuated. Cause is unknown, as of now.

Humidity is 4 to 6%

I'm ok as long as the fire doesn't come over the mountain just south of me. I'm keeping an eye out my living room windows...

One good thing; I don't have to work today!

Thanks for your concern Beav and Michelle!
