Question Radiator questions

New to SVX Forum Today and need some advice: I bought a 92 high miler about six mo ago that has been pretty dependable so far after the expense of a rear wheel bearing, replacing all four rotors and calipers and replacing the rubber at all the corners. Kinda expensive for a second car (99 Outback Wagon primary transpo) but the car really runs and rides great now. It's really fun to drive. 'Til this problem sidelined her:

My problem is a cracked radiator tank. I have been unable to locate a replacement radiator for the 92. My understanding is that the 92 was the only year they used a single row core? After 92, the availability seems ok. The car already has been outfitted with a tranny cooler. I was trying to follow some threads on replacement aluminum radiators but getting lost in the mix.

My question is, what options are available for a 92 radiator replacement? Not having much luck finding anything in the SW Virginia area. Advice gratly appreciated.

Liberty Subaru in Jersey is probably the cheapest dealer you will find for a radiator. I think its like 200 something bucks for one. I was always under the impression you could use any SVX radiator....but i might be wrong.

All the radiators are the same with the exception of the 92's(maybe 93's) having a metal screen that would clog. Otherwise no difference.

That's right - you can use any year radiator and it is actually better to use a newer year radiator due to the changes in the tranny cooler.
