alignment q

im getting my new tires and my front aligned today. i am curious how this is done. i just did the koni gc install and while in there i was looking around for could be movable alignment parts. the conclusion i got is the front camber bolt. and the tie rod to the sway bar. is this right? the rear is not adjustable right? i just want to know how this is done.

In the front suspension, there is an eccentric bolt for camber, and the tie rods length is adjustable for toe. In the rear suspension, there is an eccentric bolt at the rear, inner lateral link. Turning this will mainly affect toe, but it will also have a slight effect on camber. You can add an eccentric bolt to the strut-to-knuckle to add camber adjustment to the rear suspension. Most of the performance drivers on the network have done this. Many of the local alignment shops carry a universal camber bolt that works well with the SVX.

Before you take the car in for an alignment, you might want to take a look at the eccentric bolt for the lateral link in the rear suspension. On my car, the eccentric bolt had frozen up completely due to corrosion. I had to split the nut with a nut splitter and install new eccentric bolts and nuts.

Significant Technical Input
Front camber, front & rear toe are OE adjustable. Kits are available to replace the rear bolts w/cams for rear camber adjustment.

Remember, any time you adjust ride height you will need to have the alignment checked/done again.
