Interesting...
If you're right about this, I guess I have an LE then. (And so does the guy this thread is all about.)

94 was a kinda complicated model year for the SVX.
I've been part of this discussion before and I think there were indeed 4 different models in 94 like Lwin says. The trick about it (if I'm remembering right) is that there were some for the first part of 94 and then some for the second part (like a 94.5 model year). Because you'll notice there are some 94's that have the auto seatbelts and single airbag like 92-93, and then some 94's that have dual airbags and regular seatbelts. Those changes were one of the biggest of the whole lifespan of the SVX so its almost like a new model year change. Might contribute to their need for extra model levels that year. Also someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that half a year of 94's were the only ones with grey interior and manual seatbelts (in the exterior colors that have grey that is), making them a pretty rare commodity. (no big deal, unless you are thinking of converting a 92 to manual belts)

Hmmm...
I bought my 94 FWD new. I has the very nice velour interior, a sunroof, ABS and imitation wood grain in the interior. I just dug out the window sticker that it came with and it was listed as an LS. I don't know if that clears anything up but it is a data point. Michele PS. I thought I'd add the following. It's the white pearl (Mica) with the grey interior and it has manual belts. It came with an upgraded stereo (tape but no CD). Last edited by aviatrix; 04-23-2004 at 04:01 PM. |
