Found possible source of radio problem
I've always thought that my radio had poor reception. I first blamed it on the stock radio unit. But when I replaced the stock unit with a Kenwood and the reception was still poor, I figured the problem had to be somewhere in the car. I'm not a huge fan of listening to the radio anyway (I prefer CD's) so I decided to just live with the problem.
Well, today, while at work, I had one of the guys do an oil change for me. I took a peek at my underbody and noticed the the radio ground strap that attaches to the muffler had rotted in half. I reconnected the two pieces with some electrical tape (for now). I haven't tried the radio yet (it's still on the lift) but I bet that fixes it..... Dave |

RECEPTION FIXED!!!!!!
Stereo muffler, eh? That would be cool
That did fix my reception problem. Anyone who thinks they have lousy reception should take a look at their grounding strap on the right side of the muffler. Dave |
