Re: Change a PVC

Look at my thread "alternative option to replace PCV" OR look in the How-To documents under "maintenance" and there is a .pdf file of changing PCV valve.

Re: Change a PVC

But if you REALLY want to change what you asked for in a PVC..go to the plumbing section in your local hardware store

Re: Change a PVC

Yea PCV (been working in Lowe's plumbing dept tooooo long . ) I never removed a throttle body so maybe that would be more of a challenge than I want to attempt. the car is using about 1 qt of oil in 1,000 miles and someone told me it could be the Positive Crankcase Ventilator . What would a dealer charge to do it ? no smoke no smell and the engine does have a very slight valve cover gasket leak . should I even worry about it?

Just thinking ::: Has anyone ever considered relocating this thing. I mean a fitting a piece of hose and you would not have to do this again. Technically the PCV could be put in the glove box <LOL>

Re: Change a PVC

Can be done without removing the throttle body...several of us have made a "Crows foot" wrench to get it out from the top, but even then it is tough getting the hose loose, and back on
