Arrow Clear Title on the way????

Guys,

I spoke to Buck Jones tonight, and he said he applied for a clear title in his name, and that he should have it in a week or so. If this holds true, would any of you be interested in buying the 96 Lsi for $5,600 that was my winning bid. It has 95,323 miles on it right now. Thats with all the missing or broken parts he is providing me with, as he stated to me several times. Just sending out the feelers to see the level of interest.

Dan

I keep trying to reply to this, and it keeps freezing up on me. I think the reply is too long. So replying to this..........

Dan, he's a crook. He was a crook before you got there, and he's still a crook today. Quit fooling around with him, and get your money back.

An Excerpt from the FAQ on your MD DMV site:

My vehicle was declared salvage by an insurance company after an accident, but I have decided to keep the vehicle. Does this affect my title?

If your vehicle is 7 years old or newer and the damage is greater the fair market value of the vehicle, the insurance company will request the
vehicle’s title. They will forward the title along with the Application for a Certificate of Salvage to the MVA with the required fee.

Note: You will receive a letter from the MVA advising you that in order to continue to operate the vehicle, you must submit a Maryland Safety
Inspection Certificate within 90 days. This means that you must take the vehicle to an authorized Maryland Inspection Station for an inspection
and obtain a Certificate to submit to the MVA. Failure to comply will result in the cancellation of the vehicle’s registration.

Once the Maryland Safety Inspection Certificate is submitted, the MVA will issue a corrected title that reflects the new inspection date and the
notation “Rebuilt Salvage”. The corrected title will be mailed to you.

The above attained from this url: http://www.onlinedmv.com/MD_Maryland...r_vehicles.htm

By the way, Buck is stalling. He hasn't "applied" for dirt unless you handed him the title. He has to surrender the title to apply for another title.

But.... That's what crooks do.

Arrow I mailed the salvage title to him last week certified

Guys,

When I picked up the car on Oct.25, I took the title with me, in case I got pulled over, I had no other way to get the car home. I then mailed the salvaged title and bill of sale back to Buck last week certified mail with return receipt. It was delivered last Saturday, and last night when I spoke to him, he said he had gone to DMV and applied for a clear Maryland title in his name. Thats where things stand right now. I said you mean a rebuilt title, and he said no buddy a "Clear Title". He said in Maryland they give you a new title not rebuilt. I have no idea if he is telling the truth, but right now I am just waiting for him to deliver me the clear title as he said. Ebay emailed me today, and said that I am not covered under their protection policy, because the seller disclosed that it was a salvaged title. Yeah, he said it was salvaged at one time, and that it now has a clear title, which was not the case, because he mailed me a salvaged title before I picked up the car. Im just going to give this guy this one opportunity to provide a proper title, so that I can register the car. He has also promised several times already, to provide me with any and all parts I need, mainly the missing pass. side airbag, a beige steering wheel, a beige shifter, grille, head and tail lights. Keep your fingers crossed!

1) Its going to take a while for him to get a title I know in NY its at least 30 days
2) to get a clear title here the car has to be inspected by the DMV I would think the same goes for there to make sure no stolen stuff on the car

Am I reading right missing airbag, grille and head and taillights ?

If this is true, Dan may be making a second trip down to Maryland. With enough advance notice this time he might get reinforcements.

What Phil said! You got taken, and your still getting taken, forget the car, do what you can to get your money back, for $5600 you can find another SVX in good shape with a truly clean title and not have to worry about the bs, and what else may go wrong/be wrong with it.
Do yourself a favor and call the Maryland DMV yourself and ask them if a previously salvaged title can be changed to a "clean and clear" title.

And if you choose to pursue the so called "clean" title based on what this crook is telling you, I have some Ocean front property in AZ I'll sell you really cheap!

We might be neighbors

Did you mention the lack of an airbag to EBay? To the DMV?
