Just dial 1, then the number. In fact, Verizon wireless doesn't see this as an out-of-country call (although Germany would be a different matter)

Floor mat listing

There were seven sets of mats available (2 gray and 5 beige) It would be nice if everyone who bought a set would list their name and what they bought, so that others would know when they were all sold. This avoids the frustration of calling Canada needlessly to find out they were all sold. I'll start the list from what I know. (Earthworm, did you buy a gray set or not?)

I was surprised. I called at 8:30am, giving everyone an hour to order these, and there was still an available set of gray mats left.

OOps,

Too late, just found out. Really could use a set of new grey mats. Boys want Dayle's for their car, I want OEM. Hopefully, Subaru will produce more.

Floormats

Both part numbers are on obsolete status. SOA will not make anymore. I have a set of grey mats and three sets of beige that im sitting on. I figure it's like a small investment.

Victor,

Yes, I know you have them! I sent you a PM, but never got a reply. I guess you couldn't part with them, but if you change you mind, I'll buy your lunch in SAC!! That's a great return on that investment.

Sorry, about the no reply. I have been extremely swamped at work. The problem is they only list for $70.00 but with them being obsolete all that goes out the window. I would feel bad for asking another svx member to pay more. The last thing I wan't is another member feeling like they got gouged. I kinda like the ebay idea as people bid to what they wan't to pay.

Took me awhile to figure out how to delete old messages. I think you need to resend your PM as nothing arrived.

Canadian SVX mats are DIFFERENT (Redesign?)

I received a set of the factory beige floormats for the SVX from Canada today. They are different from the US ones in many ways:

SHAPE
1. The mats are a little larger all the way around and therefore fit more snugly. The rear mats are a lot longer in the front and go way under both front seats. Definitely stay put better. The nylon is also a lot thicker and denser than ours.

BINDING
2. The binding around the edge of the mat is a sturdier sewn-on binding, rather than the nylon serging. Shouldn't fray from use like ours do.

LOGO
3. The SVX logo is embroideded in bright white and centered within a black rectangle near the bottom of the front mats (at approximately the same position as ours, only centered, and not offset to the sides) As I said, the background is a black woven nylon, with the SVX logo itself embroidered in bright white. The mat under the logo has been cut away so that this rectangle is set into the mat. In this position it doesn't seem get the wear from the driver's left foot.

Looks like the mat redesign was done to address wearability issues. However, I still prefer the subtlety of our US mats, so I will be returning them to Willowdale Subaru for a refund. I think the logo stands out to much against the background.

I wish my digital camera was working so I could take some pictures. I could also be persuaded to part with them to someone here, rather than pay to have them shipped back to Canada.
