Cherry Hill Transmission sighting

Im on my way back to Philadelphia at 2 in the morning on monday. I see a red SVX in a parking lot so i pull some (Completely legal) U turns and stop at the place. Checked out the car a little and left 2 cards under the wipers. Anyone of u??? Nice looking Barcelona 94 w/ beige interior

Hi! That's my SVX . It's seems like it has been there for months. They have taken apart and put together the tranny four times. They claim they have rebuilt or replaced everything and it still flares in third and fourth. The latest promise is this week. The car was originally owned by a Subaru executive at the headquarters. I would love to be able to see it and drive it once again.

awsome, looks super nice. Will you be able to join us at Atco on June 2nd? I know for you it is a stone's throw away. Bring your 95 if you dont get your 94 back in time. Sorry to hear that you are having so many problems with them. I hope all works out for the best.

Thanks. My son has borrowed the '95 and is up in NY with it. If I have the '94 back, I'll try to make it to Atco. I think it's only about 10 minutes away. How many SVXer's will be there. I missed reading this year.

I just realized you are right next door to him. He is in Hartsdale. He has the car on long-term loan until he can afford something else.

ahhhh no wonder!!! I knew i recognized that car in your signature!! I have seen a emerald green SVX around hartsdale and have seen one on the highway once before on 287 getting of at exit 6 going toward the tappan zee bridge! Tell him to come online and post more often!

have they tried to adjust the brake band adjustment?

I dunno if it is good news or bad, but when I drove by the shop today, they were closed but your SVX was in the garage. this means they have at least looked at it. I know transmission shops to rebuild a trans in a day so hopeflully you will have your 94 on the road for the meet. Well nice seeing your car around!

Thanks. They claim it is completely done and running great. It has to go over to another garage for some oil leaks. The valve cover gaskets were all replaced as well as some others. That's OK. I am going to Oregon tomorrow morning for six days, so hopefully when I return all will be well. The tranny shop even had it washed for me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
