25,000 Posts!

Hmm. There are around 66K posts on the Ya-Hoo-Hoo-Dilly site right now. Anyone remember how many they had when this site started up? We can then calculate our date of posting volume supremacy. Not that I am competitive or anything

I just visited there for the first time in ages. I don't know what we ever did without this place.

Since our "grand openning" here, there have been about 12,000 messages at yahoo, so we're growing about twice as fast (very roughly)

O'course not. It was either that, or have Ron Mummert say, "well Randy missed his chance at the 25,000th post, so, I guess I'll do it." Sheesh. Couldn't let that happen.

Well, lets see. In 11 months we've had 25000 posts here and 12000 at Yahoo. However, research shows us that our 20,000th post was on November 11th (also by Randy, who'd a thunk it ), so our current rate of posting is about 2500 per month (our overall average is closer to 2300 per month). 25K posts here, 66K there... at the current rate, we'll pass them in 5 years and 5 months.

What that tells me is that we need a lot more meaningless posts here to pump up our numbers.

11 Months? Our OFFICIAL Grand Opening was March 15, 2001. If I'm not mistaken, I think we even lost some posts when we converted from Beta to Alpha version software (somebody correct me if I'm wrong). SO, we've gathered 25,000 posts in 10 months and just a day after our 10 month anniversary.

At the rate that Yahoo stock is being down rated on Wall Street, they may not be around in 5 months. We better copy all the stuff off that site.
