Unhappy leak at torque converter seal?

Just got our new to us svx out of the shop yesterday to fix oil leak. Replaced the front crank seal ($335.68 : 5.68 for parts and 330.00 for labor) Technician says that I might have a leak at the torque converter seal in tranny. Transmisssion was just rebuilt prior to my purchase. Tech said that oil leak was so bad that he really could not be sure about tranny leak; he said drive it a while to check it out. Any advice?

Significant Technical Input
Yup, have someone use uv dye in the tranny and see if it's leaking.
