Wink New Rear Wing Idea.......

Pretty much decided I want the Concept car SVX rear wing
look.....

http://www.motorsportwarehouse.com/svx/eurosvx.jpg

So Im getting ready to paint my Pearl SVX and Im going to have the whole rear wing molded to the deck-lid....professionally of course ...and when the car gets painted paint all the black in
the rear area to match the Pearl. I may even move the wing back about 2" first and then mold it in. I havent decided if Im going to paint the roof to match the car or leave it black.....People think now sinces its black its All Glass !! pretty cool...........
Anyway, I post pics when Im done.

This is what I've been thinking of doing for the longest time! My main problem is that I haven't taken the time to find a spoiler that will resemble the shape of the concept spoiler... Is the stock spoiler close enough to the concept to mold properly? Also, what material do you plan to use to mold it to the body?

Me to

I have been casually trying to buy another trunk and spoiler to do the same thing. The stock spoiler looks close enough that it should match the concept car. I don't want to use my original one just in case it would not turn out right. I was thinking fiberglass could be used to blend it together. I wanted to be the first one to do this, but I have plenty of other things that need taken care of first. Good luck, I hope it turns out good.

Im going to just use the stock wing and blend it in with
just fiberglass......its fairly easy to work with, inexpensive
and strong. Its about your only choice too. They make larger
Mid size wings like ours in the aftermarket world, I can get one with brakelight if I want for about $275 (in fiberglass) just wide
enough to fit on the trunk...but I had the PROVO carbon fiber wing like that on my first car (just bolted on in the stock holes) and it was nice.....but that style for me is too big and everytime you look in your rear view mirror out your back window the wing
is right in your way.......So Im staying with the stock wing.
Hope to have it done by early Jan.
