other wise....sounds like a good find with really low miles, if you have a svxer in the area have them come look at with ya

There are no parts that need to be "broken in" in a transmission as in an engine. you can run synthentic from day one, i cant seen anything inside the trans that would need to be properly "de-burred" as in a block.

I'm going to get it. It's pretty certain.

My offer is $6500 so I think that's not too bad of a deal for a 92 with 48k miles.

I'm going to call my insurance company today to see how much the premium will be. I can't imagine a 92 SVX being more expensive than a 99 Infiniti.

you're probably right about the insurance, infiniti replacement cost ain't cheap, thus high insurance. my 93 infinity costs me a bunch. as for disparity in rates, while he industry is competative every small thing can cost you. they were going to cancel my insurance because #2 son had 2 accidents and a ticket. i shopped around and found the internet rate went through the roof when they started counting things aginst me which weren't my fault (like 2 glass claims, one for a windshield cracked by a flying rock and a vandalism claim on a broken side window). btw, i appealed the cancellation two levels and won because the carrier didn't adequetly document that one of the accidents was the fault of the insured driver. now i can continue to pay allstate $650 a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Lawd, Bill! With those rates you'd think one would have to own a Rolls, or a Jag, or an NSX, or a Lagonda.

Ron (the good hands person).

I've got it! It's in the driveway and it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL...............but it doesn't have plates ...DMV isn't opened on weekends .....DAM!

Oh - is the SVX suppose to run so hot? Like the temperature gauge is below half (normal) but under the hood it is absolutely BAKING.....everything is very hot to the touch. But the trans fluid doesn't smell burnt or like it's cooking at all........and looks to be very clean and free of debris. I'm guessing SVX's run hot?

The temp gauge should "ride the waves" at all times when warmed up.
I'd say ALL cars are very hot to the senses when the hood's popped after a summer run.

Ron.
