I'm not kidding. Hell, ask one of our moderators here, MIKE, what happened when he raced a Z24 cavalier. G'head. Ask him. The SVX sucks ass off the line. Now.... the highway....however, is a completely different story.

Hello asshole. Anyway, I'll retort.

I was just quoting the highs and lows from each car, and yes, my SVX, though in pretty much perfect shape (mechanically), gets stomped if I race people at a stop light. I've gotten beat by Cavalier Z24s, Neons, Talons & Eclipses (the older non turbo base models), Jeep Cherokees, 5.0s, practically anything that has the ability to manually shift a transmission. And the learn how to drive comment? Maybe you should look in the mirror. The problem with the SVX is that I DO KNOW HOW TO DRIVE, most of the cars I've owned have been stickshift, and the SVX has this lethargic slug-o-matic that's moodier than Martha Stewart. Sometimes, off the line, the SVX decides to go somewhere. Sometimes it just shrugs and says "who me"? I hate automatics. I've been in Phils car and .... HOLY ****. It's a completely different ballpark. I love Phil's car. Mine too, will eventually have a manual transmission. And if you think I'm 'whining' all the time, why don't you ask how ANY of the 5spd SVX owners feel about their original automatics.

Until your surgery happens (where they remove the stick lodged in your ass), please refrain from attacking me.

I still feel like I am forgetting some but...

Here are mine in the order of ownership (as best as I can recall)

69 Olds Cutlas 'S' convertible
74 Yamaha RD350
80 Plymouth Horizon
85 Kawasaki Ninja 600
80 Mazda 626 (rear-wheel drive, superb 5-speed)
73 Mercury Montego (wife's - then girlfriend - car)
86 Isuzu Trooper (bought new - engagement gift to myself)
89 Geo Metro (bought new as wedding gift for the wife)
88 Ford Festiva
85 Olds Custom Cruiser
85 Mazda 626 (335,000 miles, looked like 50K)
94 Ford Taurus wagon (the rubber car) *current
92 Subaru SVX *current

Wow...the list seems smaller than I remember. Must be all the other cars I wished and thought of owning that have clogged my memory!

My car list is kinda short... But that's alright... Here's my list...

1. 1991 Chevy Z-24.... This was my first car... I worked and worked and put everything into it I could... Suddenly oneday it died on me at work... Eversince I have had a Hate for Chevy's.... Cause after that I still had to pay the car off and find a way to get to work... Retarted!!!!!

2. 1982 Volkswagen Rabbit Deisel (5 speed)..... I loved this car to death!!! Even though it was Bananna Yellow and took atleast 15 seconds to get to 60mph.... I got an amazing 48mpg in the city and hit 61mpg on the hi way trip that I made to the beach... Had 179k miles on it and still ran like new... Then one day the head gasket let go.... Had to replace the gasket myself, but there were 4 diffrent gaskets that year... Didn't get the right one and when I put everything back to gether and started it the piston hit the head and cracked it, broke vakves and all that crap... Still I loved that car and would proudly take it back, rebuild it and keep driving it... ( I know more about Diesel engines than gas engines... I worked at Volvo Trucks before the Marines )....

3. 1998 Jeep Cherokee 2 Door (5 speed)..... This was a cool car but quite a slap in the face after I was used to getting well over 450 mpg on a 10 gallon tank... Now suddenly had a 21 gallon tank that I would be lucky to make last 390miles... Gave me no problems at all... Probably the only american car I would ever buy if I had to buy one... Went to my friend who was in Iraq....

4. 1995 Subaru SVX L (AWD Safety package)..... This is probably gonna be the last car that I own in America.. The first car that I ever remember wanting... I was 10 when I saw one in a Magazine... I can remember the color of it and just stairing at it like a guy in a strip club would do to a dancer.... currently has full Stebro exhaust, modded intake, blue ice headlights, audio system... Few more Mods that are gonna find their way to my car are full Autocross kit suspension from Aragosta Suspension Systems, 4 ART brake rotors, Possibly STi seats from Japan, and 2003 WRX 5 speed tranny this weekend!!!!....

Well that's my car list... While not nearly as long as Huck's it will grow with time I bet......

Thats cool Chris, I learned to drive a stick in an 81 Dezil Rabbit. I had a 1 acre dirt oval track in my back yard by the time we moved.
It sparked my love for VW's and I wanted a Bug for my first car but found the BRAT instead( my other choice) and the rest is history.
