Black seats in Tan car..opinion and wanted ad
I have a Red (soon to be black ) 94 svx that has a beige leather interior. I attempted to repair some cracks and wear on the seats with leatherique, but the beige dye I used was completely different than the beige in the car. Frankly, the interior looks hideous, the finish is uneven and doesnt look like real leather anymore and color doesnt match. I would like to purchase 2 used leather but good condition (very little if any wear) seats. Ideally I would like beige but black seems to be more common. How do you think black seats in a beige interior would look ( i have flat black dash trim and custom black floormats).....I have seen 2 tone black-tan before and liked it but im not sure how this would look.
This is kind of a wanted ad and opinion thread.....so how do you think black seats in a tan interior would look? also if anyone has any leather seats for sale PM me thanks -Jason....sorry for the length

I think it might look ok, but only because of the flat black dash, that should help tie it in a little. I would say to replace all of the seats with the charcoal though, and not just the fronts.

Seats
Hi Jman, I like black with a tan interior but I'm not sure about the other way around. Dayle at Motorsports Warehouse has replacement leather for the SVX. Your choice of color. That might be the way to go. Take care, BOBB

Seats Dos
Hi Jman, If you can stand the wool how about some of those sheepskin seat covers. Some of them are not to pricey. And there is always the generic "sheepskin". at the auto parts store. The last item might do the job till you can come up with a better plan. Take care, BOBB

'03 Aviators had a KittyHawk option, tan interior and black seats. It took a little getting used to, for me anyway. Some little touches, in black, elsewhere inside will help immensely.
Have you considered shopping some local auto upholstery shops? Sometimes their prices will pleasantly surprise you.
