They probably did add a lot of fluid, but if the fluid is old and the tranny is slipping now, I would recommend a complete flush, not a drain and fill. If you're coming to our meet this Saturday, we can do it for you, or any reputable shop that has a flushing machine can. This may not resolve anything, but it is the first thing any transmission tech will tell you must be done. However, with that said, it usually fixes most slipping problems!

David-

will there be an STi for us to test-drive?

heehee, but seriously, are we going to be able to watch over your tech's shoulders as they do the inspection? i've always wanted to be able to communicate directly with someone who knows more about my car than i do while we're both looking at it..

Cool For Alacrity024

I'm glad you asked! We've been doing these service clinics(inspections) for ten years or so and they have been very popular BECAUSE the customer goes into the shop and inspects the car WITH the tech! Feel free to ask any question you want. It's your car. The more you know about it, the better for us if you need us to repair something.

As far as the STI is concerned, they are in very limited production and we may not even get one for the lot. Evidently we have two sold orders for STI and the people may not even get a choice for colors.

Cool

BTW, I've had a black 89 RX turbo also. I sold it a few years back, but it was a great car. I also had a white 89 rx turbo. Wish I never sold them!

Hay Dave, whos the tech there that has the Loyal with the 2.2L and the Legacy wheels? Is he gona be there that weekend? I'v got some questions for him. Also do we have to have an appointment for the inspects before 11am or can your guy throw a car up on the lift later during the meet? Just wondering because people might want to check out my sweet 5speed swap from underneath. (Full of my self).

Cool May 10th Meet!

Jerry Costa is the tech, and yes, he'll be here. You need to call us for an appointment for the inspections, they will only be from 8-11
am. I am trying to arrange it so Jerry is the one who will be doing most of them. Ask him about the Imprezza he owns!

He put a 2.5 phase two engine in it and it has outback wheels! It screams!!! (the imprezza had a 1.8 before.)
The 2.5 is an outback engine with Forester heads! He can make any combo work!
To enable as many inspections as possible, we have a 45 minute limit on the inspection. Jerry will also do a Q&A session around 3:00 pm that day.

AARGH!!

the "meet monster" rears its head!!

i have a take-home final exam which is due on saturday at 3pm.. the teacher has made it pretty clear that she will NOT accept it at ANY other time.. Dave- maybe our "senic drive" could include a stop at Franklin Pierce College?? I'm gonna see if i can sweet-talk her into accepting it early..

What kind of freakish school do you go to that requiers you to hand in exams at 3:00 on a Saterday?

Yes, Jerry I was talking to him awile ago one time when I was there with my Loyal, cool guy. I don't know if i'd get there much before 11 so, I guess people will just have to look at the shifter and clutch pedal to oow and ahhhh. Sorry being the only 5 speed at Reading gave me a big head.

Cool I don't know if i'd get there much before 11 so,

If it's not too busy, we'll get yours on a lift, I'm sure Jerry will want to look it over verrrrry carefully!
Stuff like that impresses him and he's not easily impressed.
