That was second hand from my wife after she talked to service so I appologize if the lingo isn't correct. Total cost: Approx $2,100. My cost: $100. For those keeping track the $1200 or so I spent on the warranty plus $300 for 4 service calls (Becker picked up the $100 for the one in which they had the car for 3 weeks) I have been spared $4358 in warranty repairs. Not too bad. Hope to get her back by Tuesday or Wednesday. Thanks to everyone who wished us luck. And I'm thankful everyone didn't get to see her dragged up onto the flatbed!

Dan
Dan,
Looks like that warranty money was money well spent. Hope you get her back soon and in excellent condition. And don't worry about being embarrassed about US seeing your car going up on a flatbed. Most of us have seen ours go up before. Some of us (read ME) for STUPID reasons like not tightening a (FREAKIN"!) oil drain plug.

By the way, John (svx_commuter), thanks for the plug gasket , I'm still wearing it on my right ring finger. I now have a spare plug w/gasket, courtesy of Bill Moore and a spare gasket, courtesy of John. I should be set. Anybody care to donate a case of oil -- just in case.

Yes, "Diceology" is not a widely taught course in today's continuing education curricula. I believe the only school, in which it's taught with any verve, is (Saddle) Oxford.

So, you think I need MORE individuality?

Remember that one? The fad & the song. Sponge dice era circa mid-fifties.

The question of the day is whether or not he has a steering wheel spinner with a picture of a bathing suit clad Betty Grable in it to go with those dice.

"I can drive a hundred miles an hour, long's I've got the almighty power, up there by my pair of fuzzy dice!"

No, Ron, I don't remember that song.

And, no, Beav, no Betty Grable spinner. If I did get a spinner, it'd be like the one my Aunt's boyfriend had when I was about 8 years old ('63). It was the first time I ever saw a picture of a nekkid girl.

Ron.
My uncle had dice hanging in his 1949 Ford ...probably sometime in the early to mid fifties ...and he probably won them at a carnival.

What's the deal with the dice anyways? And Randy, why did your daughter choose a dice instead of something like a doggie that nods his head or something like that?

She didn't really "choose" them. I stuck them up there for fun after I won them at Autofest (by answering the question "Where was the DeLorean Built? DUH!) and hadn't taken them off when I drove home. She just happened to see them and, when I said I was going to remove them, she looked at me with those puppy eyes and said, "No, Daddy. I like them." 'Nuff said.

The Nodding Doggy, on the other hand, is my son's gig. He bought one for his mom's van for Christmas -- a bulldog wearing a Santa hat. It "disappeared" shortly after Christmas.
