Moving to Florida
I'll be leaving for FL within the next two weeks..I'll be taking 65 south from Louisville, KY through TN then 24E to Chatanooga, then 75 South to Ocala, then eventually to Tampa.
Seeing if anyone is along that route that maybe wants to meet up for a quick hello? Anyone in the FL area, I'll be in Ocala for a day or so, I know one or two members are close to there..then staying in Palm Harbor near Whitesub and Icingdeath. Hope to meet some of you peeps! |

Re: Moving to Florida
I was born and raised in Palm Harbor, so I know the heat
Right now..It's considered a "I hate Indiana" visit by my mom, but I do plan on finding a job, so I can stay. A job would most likely be the food area in a local Costco with my cousin. |

Re: Moving to Florida
I moved to jax last year, love it I came from North Dakota, hell of a long drive
I took 94 to Minneapolis MN south 35 to 80 cut down some small back roads to st louis then 55 then cutting over to 24 to 75 to 10 Mostly interesting road. I went to visit and find a house to rent before that I took several back roads exploring and wow was it interesting. went through memphis for that ended up going across the mississippi on 2 different large bridges. |

Re: Moving to Florida
If you route over to I-75 sooner, you could swing through Somerset, and check out my herd.

Re: Moving to Florida
looking at your map you may even save a few miles by going east sooner.
on the other hand it looks like there is no more direct route south, I-75 will take you farther east then you need to go, just to bring you back west again. but you would not add much to your trip by taking that. Last edited by 92 SVX; 07-21-2011 at 06:24 AM. |

Going to 75-E a lot sooner (71-64-75) would also add 30 miles, but ALSO shave about 30minutes of travel time. I'm aiming at the lowest possible miles. Last edited by Chuckls; 07-21-2011 at 07:46 AM. |

Your looking at 65 south through nashville then 24 back east over to 75 south. which shows as slightly shorter miles. I did not realize i-75 angled so far east then meandered back west when I mentioned it in my post. But the good news is it does not add very many miles and you could visit huck. |
