Argh, sticky goop!

This is driving me bonkers up the wall.

Today I am trying to remove the residual film from my Wally World tint job.
Not going so hot.

Tried soap and water.
Nothing.
Tried some kinda orange Windex.
Nothing.
Tried Goo-Gone.
Nothing.
Tried my finger nail.
Took too long.
Finally tried acetone as I happened to have some lying aroung. Hey it breaks it right up. Probably should have went for the hardcore chem gloves instead of the wimpy ones, but it doesn't matter right now because all it does is clump it up in areas and smear it in others. I can't get the sticky goop to actually come off the window.

I'm mildly irritated.

Need suggestions.

Also my engine seems to be running hot in these past few weeks. The needle is normal but when I put my hand on the manifold it is almost hot enough to burn my hand.
This is with phenolic spacers and as of their install, is not normal. There is also a great deal more heat coming through the vents than usual. A friend noticed this before I did leading to an inspection, and we all determined there is a great deal more heat pouring from the engine than in the past.

Cool, thanks. I haven't got around to getting back to it yet, but I'll try a putty knife.

Lightbulb

Try the magic known as "lighter fluid". Then follow up with Invisible Glass.

Man just get some Thinner and get done with it as everybody does over here. You can add to it some water if it is too strong
