i drove the elantra gt. i'm not sure what you think the last car i took on a road trip was, but i no longer own it. what to drive part 2 was a 2005 legacy 2.5gt and part 1 was a 2001 jeep grand cherokee. i no longer own that vehicle either.

you must have missed the straight up part. is your svx worth eleven large and more importantly, are you willing to trade it for a less valuable hyundai?

i forgot to answer this question. snakes can go months without needing food and don't really consume a large amount of water. they were just fine not eating for eight days.

overall, i give teh elantra gt a 7.5 on a scale of 1-10.

i was a little disappointed with the gas mileage, but i did drive around 85 mph in colorado and nebraska and 80 mph in iowa, indiana, and michigan. i was much closer to the ridiculously low speed limit of 65 in illinois. radar detector was constantly going off. the air conditioning was on at least 95 percent of the time as well.

my biggest gripe was the road noise; it was enough to take away from my iPod listening experience. the car seemed to strain just a little above 90 mph also contributing to my fair gas mileage. i think a slightly larger car might be quieter and solve the mileage issue. you know the 4-cyl hyundai sonata has the same epa rating as as the elantra. my urge to buy a new car is resurfacing.
