Grady Little
Grady Little, after a pretty good run in the playoffs, comes home to find his lawn is incredibly over grown. He takes a little trip to Home Depot and asks for the best lawn mower money can buy, the clerk brings him to it, and he brings it home to take care of his lawn problem.
Grady arrives home, but to his dismay he cannot get the damn lawn mower to work. He brings it back to Home Depot, and asks the clerk, "Why wont this damn thing turn on?". The clerk replies, "Grady, don't you know you have to pull the starter?"

One of my old freinds used to play baseball with Mattingly's son. Said he met him once or twice. He said Mattingly was one of the nicest guys he'd ever met.

if I was Mattingly I wouldnt want to be the ONE to replace Saint Joe..
You never get as much of a leash when you follow a really accomplished coach/manager...I would rather be the 2nd or 3rd guy after Torre...

I may have jumped the gun. Willie Randolph is going to be bench coach next year under Joe Torre. That means he will probably menage the Yanks for the 2005 season. If they flop, george will get someone else.
