Carnage pics time!
Well I finally got the pump apart yesterday, and today I got the torque convertor off (had to use the press!) so here are some pics :-)
I'm gonna try and get the T/C seal and bushing from Subaru but hopefully Patrick can get the TC out of the parts car :-) (If not I'll be helpin him yank a motor, cuz I do NOT want to have to buy one...) And in case you all were wondering, a new trans from Subaru is $4700 This is the oil pump, both sides of the rotor have heat marks, as do all the vanes, and the housing was severely scored, not sure if it'll show up in the pic. Here is a close-up of the pump drive ears on the torque converter, when the pump seized, the T/C kept spinning, and spread the ears out, which is why it wouldn't come out of the transmission.
