I was just sharing what I had found in my browsing - I'm certainly not endorsing your story.

A little explanation can go a long way, especially if you are trying to gain members' trust so you can make some sales. A lot of people here have been scammed out of a lot of money in the past.

You can understand why people would question why you say "I'm back" when you have a brand new user name here and on ebay with no explanation other than one buried in a different thread. Looks suspicious.

Best of luck to you if you are ready to do honest business here and help the community.

I've read older threads about SVX owners burning other SVX owners. Why? That seems like a really sleazy thing to do, considering how much we all love these cars.

Sorry for all these posts --

How can you get scammed out of money on eBay? If you don't get the item, just contact PayPal or do a "e-reversal", aka "chargeback".

Yea, but if they clear out their paypal account and whatever bank account it is attached to, Paypal cannot do anything either. It complicated

Re: Great stuff to go quickly...

I have never gotten all of my money back from a PayPal purchase gone bad--only partial payment.

When I saw these Ebay ads my first thought was of our old friend McMahon from the NY area that scammed and cheated a lot of people including me.

But my first post concerning the ads was not on potential scam, but on the prices when presented here as "great stuff cheap". I don't see many bargains at all. Starting bid for a taillight $50????????????? Used antenna--$100??? Where are the bargains???? And of course the shipping prices--once listed on Ebay it becomes a part of the bidder/seller contract and is hard to get out of.

Also, when I see the confronted seller only paying lip service to all the comments on here instead of an explanation that would make people feel a bit warm and fuzzy. Makes you wonder???

Lets start here: what have I not answered? No need for hostility; i'm not paying lip service to anyone here; i'm trying to be direct.

Next, isn't sales of any kind about supply and demand? I made a decision on the prices of the parts and if some don't sell, I will take the best offer. Also, remember what I said about shipping. It will be actual costs; it was a mistake.

Last, partial refund? I didn't know PayPal had a policy like that. I always see before paying for something "Insured for up to $xxx"

Re: Great stuff to go quickly...

guys, i would give this guy a break. he is just trying to sell things he doesnt need and he is going through a bit of trouble. i know no one wants to gamble with there money, but come one, everyone has to start somewhere! if you are not willing to buy things from him because of his feedback or because of his story, or whatever, then just dont buy it! its that simple, but dont attack him for things that have not even happened yet and may not even happen.

just someone from the outside concerned about what is going on here.

Re: Great stuff to go quickly...

Just to follow up. I finally received the part that I bought on ebay and it was as described and illustrated. Shipping was a bit slow but I'm happy.
