John said it doesn't come with the "clips." I just ordered a pair from subaruparts.com (my tranny rebuilder lost one, grrrr). They're "clip #7" (I think) in the "Engine Parts" diagram.

Good recall, John. I just found my bill. They were 2.82 each from subaruparts.com. If you're in no big hurry, you can order them from Cour d'Alene Subaru http://www.cdasubaru.com they may be cheaper there.

Well, at least I gave the option. I may have had a bad experience. Doesn't mean that everyone will. Their prices ARE better, but, I noticed that they charged me sales tax, which is something subaruparts.com has never done.

They charged you Kentucky sales tax, right? If not, they most likely owe you a refund or face penalties. From recently aquiring my sales tax permit, I learned that you charge sales tax based on the location of consumption. For you, that's Kentucky. They aren't consuming the part in Idaho by installing i tin your car. They have to collect and file KY sales tax forms if they have a physical location (sales or service office, local PO BOX, etc) or if they have some percentage (determined by the state, for my work its 15%) of their business from another state. You may want to ask them for a check or (i can't resist!) a credit to use on your next purchase. Doug

But hes right they have to have some sort of physical office in Ky to charge you Ky tax.. if they dont they cant charge you tax across state borders... PAUL!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I just checked the bill again. What is sales tax in Idaho? I checked 6% (KY sales tax) and it was more than they charged me. Then, I checked at 5%, it was less than they charged me. Then, I added the SHIPPING, then checked at 5% and it was close. So, not only did they charge me sales tax on the part, they added the 20.00 "overnight" freight and charged me sales tax on the freight. "Next purchase?" Not bloody likely.

Internet ordering
When I ordered my parts from subaruparts.com, they not only sent me two fuel filters instead of one fuel filter and one PCV valve, but they charged me both for the PCV valve and the two filters!
Bottom line with ordering online I guess to to check, recheck and triple-check your order. I didn't catch their mistake in time, so now I have an extra fuel filter if anyone wants to make an offer.....

S40 Emblem for the SVX
Evidently there is an "S40" emblem which is on the Japanese Alcyone SVX. My connection at Japan Direct Import Service is getting me one from Subaru.
Once I find out the particulars, (cost, where it is on the car, etc.) I'll let you all know. He is already sending me an Alcyone SVX Owners Manual, printed in Japanese, along with my recent order for 4 hood emblems.

S40 Emblem
Having received an email from Japan, it appears that the S4 emblem is really the Japanese hood emblem with the 'horns" in gold instead of silver. It was the same price and the part number is 93060PA150.
I believe someone in the club (mohrds?) bought one from Dayle at motorsportswarehouse. I am still checking to see if there is an emblem somewhere else on the car (I seem to remember one somewhere on the rear trunk lid) .

Hell no. Why do you think I ordered the Alcyone hood emblem? To further "mysteriousize" (yes, I made the word up), the car. Of course, that's where Subaru asked us to stick it when they halted production of our precious cars.
